This book is a good read for anyone that wishes to strengthen or deepen their faith. Through out the book you'll find scriptures and biblical stories to read over, as well as quotes on faith that really make you think.
4 of 5 stars The Cows Came Running and the Horses Did Too! by Shelly Simoneau has cute illustrations, as well as a good message for children about the importance of listening to your parents.
3 of 5 stars ~I received a free copy of this book for an honest review. "Rise of the Champions Episode 3" keeps you flipping through the pages as Tal faces the consequences for his question in Episode one. It also introduces you to a plan that was laid out by King Solaris weeks earlier upon finding out that Chief Illuminator Hunapo wants the LOGOS room in the castle blocked up.
The excitement continues in "Rise of the Champion Episode Two." While the men search for Tal in the catacombs, the Light Giver, is giving him gifts and his mission at the `Throne of the Light Giver'. Chief Illuminator Hunapo reveals some secrets that help explain more how he came to his high position. And Tal resurfaces.
Again... this episode makes you think. Are you willing to accept your God given call? Will you be willing to stand up for what's right? In Rise of the Champion Episode One, we meet a Tal. He's a scribe that has a burning question he desires to be answered. Although his answer isn't given in the way he thought it would be, the fact the he asked it has brought about the beginning of a change for him. I can't wait to read the next two episodes to find out what his accepted challenge brings his way.
With that being said...the strong spiritual message in this book can make one examine their own lives, thoughts, and decisions. "You Cannot Find Peace Until You Find All The Pieces" is a short but very informative read of the author's search for her father. He left when she was young, and she had a lot of answered questions. The search went on for over 18 years and she fills you in on her own journey over the course of that time. It wasn't always easy. There were hurts, surprises and tough decisions to be made. Although she starts out looking for one man, she ends up find so much more.
